KIWANIS CLUB of Richmond Hill

The Longest Continuing Kiwanis Club in Queens, Chartered 1927

Duties

Attendance at meetings is expected of all active members. As a service organization – not just a social club – Kiwanis must depend on member participation. Successful service projects, as well as good fellowship, require the greatest possible response of the members.

Reasonable absences are, of course, excused in recognition of personal and professional commitments. Opportunities are provided for “making up” absences by participating in club projects, attending meetings of the Board of Directors and through interclub visitations to other Kiwanis Clubs. Leave may be requested for extended absences.

Each member serves on at least one of the established standing committees. These committees originate and plan the Club service projects. Committee meetings are held periodically.
